The Code of Conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and NGOs in Disaster Relief
The Code of Conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Disaster Relief is a voluntary code of conduct that seeks to maintain standards of independence, effectiveness and impact of disaster response NGOs and the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The principles address accountability to donors and beneficiaries; respect for culture, religion and beneficiaries; independence and impartiality; and beneficiary participation, among others. It also includes recommendations for governments of disaster affected countries, donor governments and intergovernmental organisations.
